Linda S. Parsons, age 50, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Care Center after an extended illness. Linda Sue Parsons was born June 18, 1959 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Willis Lee and Shirley Kay (Cavner) Price. She lived most of her life in the Missouri and the Southwest Iowa area. Over the years, she worked at Earl May in Shenandoah and was a firefighter in Imogene as well as raising her family. She was united in marriage to Everett Eugene Parsons on May 10, 1996 in Grove Springs, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1999. Linda moved back to Red Oak several years ago. Linda enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, working puzzles, listening to country music especially Reba, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Carrie Sybert and fiancÚ Joel Stanley of Omaha, Nebraska; Shannon Sybert and wife Elizabeth of Hartville, Missouri; Pearl Nichols and husband Brian of Lebanon, Missouri; Phillip Parsons of Red Oak, Iowa; and Lucy Parsons of Red Oak, Iowa; 28 grandchildren; sisters: Sharon Kalkas of Omaha, Nebraska; Marjorie Duran of Westboro, Missouri; and Tammy Lukehart and husband Rocky of Red Oak, Iowa; brother: Rick Price and wife Linda of Red Oak, Iowa; aunt: Betty Brake of Atlantic, Iowa; and nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
