Jeanette M. Docker, age 76, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Monday, September 24, 2007 at the Stanton Care Center after an extended illness. Jeanette Mae Docker was born August 10, 1931 in Shenandoah, Iowa the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Patton) Runyon. Jeanette graduated from Red Oak High School in the class of 1949. Jeanette was united in marriage to Joe Docker on May 17, 1953 in Red Oak, Iowa and to this union was born two sons: James and David. Jeanette worked for Kozi Air Company and retired from Union Carbide/Eveready Battery Company after 24 years of service. She went on to work in the food service department at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for ten years. Jeanette was a member of the, First United Methodist Church, TOPS, Class of 1949 Lunch Bunch, Aqua Size Coffee Club of the YMCA, and helped with the Montgomery County Elections as a volunteer.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother: Clinton Runyon; sister: Frances Funkhouser; and son: James Docker. Survivors include her son: David Docker and wife Kim of Red Oak, Iowa; daughter-in-law: Kelly Docker of Red Oak, Iowa; grandchildren: Ben Docker and wife Kellijo of Rock Rapids, Iowa; Matthew Docker and Kassie Weber of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Andrew Docker of Red Oak, Iowa; Mindy Docker of Corning, Iowa; Chris Docker of Omaha, Nebraska; and Dan Docker of Maryville, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. Nancy Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. There will be open visitation at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Class of 1949 Scholarship Fund or the Red Oak High School Football program.
