DeLoye Abraham, age 85, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Saturday, June 25, 2005 at the Stanton Care Center in Stanton, Iowa. Clarence “DeLoye” Abraham was born December 14, 1919 in Pierce Township of Page County, Iowa the son of Reuel and Esther (Burg) Abraham. DeLoye was raised in Page and Montgomery Counties graduating from the Coburg High School. He then attended Creighton University for a year before moving back to southwest Iowa. He was united in marriage to Marian Darland on December 14, 1940 in Essex, Iowa. They farmed and lived all of their lives in Page and Montgomery Counties until moving into Red Oak in 1982. DeLoye was a member of the Faith Covenant Church in Essex, Iowa.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife: Marian on September 23, 2000; and a granddaughter: Kayla Archer. Survivors include his children: Larry Abraham and wife Donna of Essex, Iowa; and Karen Archer and husband Don of Louisville, Colorado; 4 grandchildren: Roger Abraham of Red Oak, Iowa; Susan Boender and husband Andrew of Rock Valley, Iowa; Dawn Archer of Louisville, Colorado; and Heather Werre and husband Verne of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great grandchildren: Amanda Abraham of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Christopher Abraham of San Diego, California; Zachary Boender of Rock Valley, Iowa; Brennan Wagner of Louisville, Colorado; Tyler Werre of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kacie Wagner of Louisville, Colorado; and Rylee Werre of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister: Reulene “Rusty” Hays and husband Alvin of Red Oak, Iowa; 2 sisters-in-law: Darlene Williams and husband Lloyd of Red Oak, Iowa and Pauline Ruppel of Webster City, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 3 PM Monday, June 27, 2005 at the Faith Covenant Church in Essex, Iowa with Rev. Jim Ressegieu officiating. Burial will be in the Essex, Iowa Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak.
