Zelma Peters, age 76, of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Wales, Iowa passed away Monday, February 14, 2005 at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha after an extended illness. Zelma Jean Williams Peters was born November 29, 1928 in Lincoln Township of Montgomery County, IA the daughter of Luther and Okal (McVay) Williams. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Wales Lincoln High School. She attended Red Oak Junior College and later taught 1st and 2nd graders at Wales Lincoln School. She was united in marriage to David Peters on August 23, 1953 in Red Oak, Iowa. She worked most of her life in the insurance business in Omaha. Zelma was a member of the Eastern Nebraska/Western Iowa Welsh Society.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Doris Mae Williams. Survivors include her husband: David Peters; son: Mark Peters; grandchildren: Chris and Cassie Peters all of Omaha, NE and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, Feb. 18, 2005 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, IA. Burial will be in the Gomer Cemetery at Wales, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 1-2 PM Friday at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel prior to the funeral service.
