Anna Stennett, age 95, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center. Anna Stennett was born March 9, 1908 in Balzar, Russia the daughter of John and Catherine (Kisselmann) Grasmick. The family moved to Red Oak in 1913 when Anna was 5 years old. She attended school in Red Oak and worked for the Thomas D. Murphy Company from which she retired. Anna was united in marriage to John Gordon Stennett on May 28, 1955 in Glenwood, Iowa. They were lifelong residents of Red Oak, Iowa. Anna was a member of the Red Oak Presbyterian Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Gordon Stennett on March 2, 1983; 6 sisters: Marie, Molly, Katie, Edith Mae, Bertha, and Emily; and 4 brothers: Jack, George, Bill, and John.

Survivors include her 3 sisters-in-law: Gladys Grasmick of Omaha, Nebraska; Mary Grasmick of Omaha, Nebraska; and Edna Stennett of Oakland, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, June 21, 2003 at the Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Suzanne Hewett officiating. There will be open visitation at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Rescue Unit.
