Mark Alan Stoneking, age 63, of Elliott, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. Mark was born June 2, 1957, in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Jean (Murren) Stoneking. He was raised in Elliott and graduated from Griswold Community High School in 1975. He attended Iowa State University for 1 year and then came home to work at Murren Grain Company. Mark was united in marriage to Bobbi Reynolds on October 21, 1978 in Elliott, Iowa. Mark worked for the Red Oak Express for a short period and then started working for Red Oak Farm Supply. In 1999, he started working for Nachurs where he worked until 2020 when he retired. Mark was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors, camping, and mushroom hunting. He was a longtime NRA member and loved watching NASCAR.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife: Bobbi Stoneking on April 17, 2007; and brother: Kirk Stoneking. Survivors include his children: Angie Burnison and husband Gary of Elliott, IA and Ryan Stoneking of Elliott, IA; grandchildren: Tanner, Trevor, and Alexis Burnison of Elliott, IA and Sydney Stoneking of Elliott, IA; brothers and sisters: Kent Stoneking and Shannon of Missouri Valley, IA; Amy Stoneking of Carroll, IA; Joy Koenig and husband Dale of Pleasantville, IA; Brian Stoneking and wife Cindy of Omaha, NE; and Roger Stoneking and wife Tammie of Grant, IA; brothers-in-law: Todd Pennock and wife Courtney of Elliott, IA and Jim Reynolds and wife Debbie of Red Oak, IA; sister-in-law: Sandy Johnson and husband Kevin of Red Oak, IA; aunts, uncles, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, February 12, 2021, at the Elliott United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 4-7 PM Thursday, February 11, 2021, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel.
