Anna Fulner, age 70, of Red Oak, Iowa, formerly of Shenandoah, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak. Anna was born May 29, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Marion Leo and Anna Lucille (Hale) Sickler. She lived most of her life in the Shenandoah, Iowa area. Anna graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1969 and attended Iowa Western Community College to become a medical assistant. She worked for a short time for Dr. Rodabaugh and spent most of her career working in area nursing homes. Anna had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak since 2016. She was a longtime member of the Shenandoah Eagles Lodge. Anna enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, playing Bingo, and crocheting.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her companion of many years: Jim Scott; and grandson-in-law: Travis Hoyt. Survivors include her daughters: Tracey Kimmet and fiancée Lylly Ellis of Essex, IA; Amy Fulner of Omaha, NE; and Angela Doyle of Ashland, NE whom she considered a daughter; granddaughter: Natasha Hoyt and companion: Dustin Ross of Shenandoah, IA; great grandchildren: Brilee Marie and Ellie Kay; sister: Patty Barnhart of Red Oak, IA; brothers: Ed Sickler and wife Vickie of Pleasant Hill, IA; Richard Sickler of Kansas City, KS; Dwaine Sickler and wife Jackie of Shenandoah, IA; and Jim Sickler and wife Orlinda of Shenandoah, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Shenandoah Eagles Lodge on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from Noon until 2 PM. Everyone will be required to wear a mask when not at their table. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with cremation services.
