Jerry Dean “Butch” Miller, age 61, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at his home. Butch Miller was born October 24, 1958 in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of Jake and Janice (Carlisle) Miller. He graduated from the Griswold, Iowa High School. He lived in Grand Island for several years where he worked at a beef packing plant before moving to Denver, Colorado. This is where he met and was united in marriage to Linda Sugihara in 1986. To this union, two children were born: Jason and Justin. Jerry worked many years as a Maintenance Supervisor at Owens Corning Manufacturing in Denver. He moved back to Red Oak in 2014. Jerry loved to tinker and fix anything. He was quite mechanically inclined. He loved cars and monster trucks. He especially enjoyed drag racing and watching the Mile High Nationals.

Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his sons: Jason and Justin Miller of Thornton, Colorado; sister: Sherry Franzen and husband Curtis of Elliott, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

There will be no services held at this time.
