Eloise Maynon Wagner, age 100, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Accura Healthcare of Stanton, Iowa. Eloise was born November 15, 1919 in Page County, Iowa near Essex, the daughter of Oscar and Abigail (Foust) Josephson. She graduated from Coburg High School. She was united in marriage to Charles Wagner on January 4, 1949 in Red Oak, Iowa. They lived in Ohio for ten years before moving back to Red Oak. Eloise worked at Thos. D. Murphy Co. for a short time and was a homemaker. She did a lot of volunteer work including delivering “Meals On Wheels”, Red Cross Bloodmobile since 1980, and The Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Eloise was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and UMW, the Order of Eastern Star where she was Past Worthy Matron, 25 years as Chaplain, belonged to the Mother’s Club, and the Past Matrons Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Charles; son: Charles Wagner; sister: LaVonne Fisher; and brothers: Glen, Wendell, and Marlin Josephson. Survivors include her children: Randy Wagner of Red Oak and Nancy Cornelison and husband Gary of Monrovia, Maryland; daughter-in-law: Jeannie Wagner of Glenwood, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.

Due to Covid 19 Pandemic, and social distancing, there will be no service and the family has requested no visitors at their home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
