Jessica Nicole Houtchens, age 27, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Jessica was born June 18, 1991 in Red Oak, Iowa. She graduated from Red Oak High School in the class of 2010 and started working for Nishna Productions Redemption Center. She also worked at the Nishna Productions Workshop. Jessica was a very outgoing person and never knew a stranger. In her younger days she was active in Girl Scouts and was known to be an animal lover. She loved her dog, Jaxon, her cat, Puma, and her guinea pig, Ozzie. She also loved fishing, music, dancing, singing, watching Walker Texas Ranger, collecting beanie babies, and was an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. She had a fighting spirit and encouraged others to fight with her very positive attitude. The Red Oak Eagle Riders helped her accomplish many things on her “bucket list’ including riding in a Mud Truck, pontoon rides, motorcycle rides, and going to Nebraska football games. Jessica definitely made an impact on everyone she came in contact with. Her loving spirit will always dwell in those who knew her.
