Audrey Jane Larson, age 74, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Audrey was born June 15, 1944 in Sunburg, Minnesota the daughter of Reuben and Laura (Gunderson) Hollen. She attended Country School in Sunburg, Minnesota and later Kerkhoven School. Audrey was united in marriage to Richard Larson on February 4, 1961 in Sunburg, Minnesota. They moved to Red Oak, Iowa in 1967 And Audrey received her GED and an accounting degree from Southwest Community College. Audrey and Richard started Larson Suzuki in 1973 and operated that business until 1986 when they moved to Arizona. Audrey worked as a Dental Assistant after receiving her certification. In 1988, they moved back to Red Oak and started Dickel Duit Outdoor Power. She also did the accounting at Red Oak Chrysler for a short time. Audrey was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Red Oak Bowlers Hall of Fame. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, taking family pictures, and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter: Theresa Larson; and siblings: Harold Hollen, Rose Camp, and Arlene Skindelien. Survivors include her husband: Richard Larson of Red Oak; daughters: Laura Cross and husband Kyle of Red Oak and Tammy Sutton and husband Jeff of Red Oak; grandchildren: Kyra Blatchford of Vermillion, SD; Daniel Cross of Halstead, KS; Heather and Holly Beemer of Red Oak; Trevor Sutton of Red Oak; Mitch McCall and fiancé Rob Harness of Omaha, NE; and Brooke Carpenter and fiancé Steven Cook of Red Oak; great grandchildren: Haylee Blatchford and Noah Carpenter-Cook; sister: Ethel Mellgren (Gene)-Minneapolis, MN; brothers: Lowell Hollen and wife Mary of Belgrade, MN; Morine Hollen of Sunburg, MN; Kermit Hollen and wife Frances of Fridley, MN; and Gordy Hollen and wife Norma of Brooten, MN; brother-in-law: Marshall Larson of Foley, MN; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, July 9, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery. Viewing and visitation with the family will be held from 4-6 PM Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
