Delbert Gaylord Eastwood, age 93, of Indianola, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines, surrounded by his loving family. Delbert was born November 14, 1924 near Emerson, Iowa the son of Gaylord and Hettie (Jenks) Eastwood. He attended country school and graduated from Emerson High School in 1942. Delbert married Billie Jean Haden and they lived in the Emerson and Red Oak area. They then moved to Council Bluffs, and later to Boone and Indianola. They enjoyed family trips to California, Florida, and stayed on many lakes in Minnesota. He loved spending time with his family. He liked playing cards, going on fishing trips, and shooting pool. Delbert had farmed, had a Culligan Soft Water dealership, was a salesman for Baum Iron, and had been a semi-truck mechanic. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Emerson, Red Oak, Council Bluffs, Boone, and Indianola. He was a member of the Emerson Masonic Lodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents and wife Billie Jean, and brother: Donald Eastwood. Survivors include daughters: Barb Miller and husband Jerry of St. Mary's, IA and Deb Williams of Ankeny, IA; son: Ron Eastwood and wife Janeen of Johnston, IA; grandchildren: Joel Miller and wife Jen, Alyssa Miller, Kristin Kann and husband Casey; Scott Williams (Jenna Shelley), Kalen Ludwig and husband Kurt, and Kyle Eastwood and wife Amy; 7 great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters: Marilyn Waterman of Omaha, NE; Kay Herzberg and husband Willard of Clarinda, IA; and sister-in-law Thelma Eastwood of Omaha, NE and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM, July 7, 2018 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery in Montgomery County, Iowa.
