Eileen Jones, age 93, of Council Bluffs, Iowa formerly of Emerson, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Risen Son Christian Village. Eileen Susan Jones was born January 3, 1920 near Folsom, Iowa in Mills County, Iowa the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Grudle) Bruce. She attended Plummer country school. The family moved to Hastings, Iowa in 1933 and Eileen graduated from Hastings High School in 1937. She then attended School of Cosmetology in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was a beauty operator until she was united in marriage to Dale Jones on January 2, 1941 in Council Bluffs. They farmed in Mills County until moving to the Red Oak area in 1945. They moved to Emerson in 1985 and recently have been residents of Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs. Eileen was a homemaker for many years and also sold Nature’s Sunshine Health Products for over 40 years. She enjoyed flowers, playing the organ, sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Donald and Keith Bruce; and grandson: Jeffrey Jones. Survivors include her husband: Dale Jones of Council Bluffs, IA; sons: Marion Jones and wife Connie of Drummond, MT and Roger Jones and wife Kristie of Westboro, MO; grandchildren: Stacey Jones of Wilton, NH; Dena Skinner and husband Aaron of Higginsville, MO; Jason Jones and wife Tammy of Shenandoah, IA; Kendelle Heilig of Moore, MT; Ryan Jones and fiancé Zoey of Billings, MT; and Joshua Jones and wife Jennifer of Idaho; 18 great grandchildren; sisters: Lorraine Morrical of Hastings, IA and Verilee Nicholas of Essex, IA; brother: Kenneth Bruce and wife Phyllis of Red Oak, IA; sister-in-law: Mary Bruce of Hastings, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. There will be open visitation at the funeral home starting Sunday, October 6, 2013.
