Jean Graham, age 86, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society after an extended illness. V. Jean Graham was born March 8, 1927 in Corning, Iowa the daughter of Carl and Blanche Woodin. She grew up in Corning where she graduated high school. Jean was united in marriage to Burdette Huntington in 1944 and four children were born to this union: Tim, Dave, Linda, and Ted. The family lived in Omaha for a year before moving to Red Oak where Jean had spent the rest of her life. She cleaned houses and several businesses in town as well as being a waitress. Burdette preceded her in death in 1982. Jean was united in marriage to Darwin Graham in 1985. He preceded her in death in 2009. Jean attended church at First Congregational United Church of Christ, enjoyed music including playing piano, organ, accordion, and guitar.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands; and a brother: Ron Woodin. Survivors include her children: Tim Huntington and wife Barb of Apache Junction, AZ; Dave Huntington and wife Kathy of Plattsmouth, NE; Linda Zaka and husband Gus of Corona, CA; and Ted Huntington and wife Linda of Red Oak, IA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; step daughters: Candy Hopping and husband Russ of Oakland, IA and Becky Robertson and husband Jim of Pacific Junction, IA; sisters: Rose Mary Moore of Ames, IA and Ruth Dorr of Weslaco, TX; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Chaplin officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
