Mary E. Rosch, age 83, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Care Center. Mary E. Rosch was born January 11, 1928 near Villisca, Iowa the daughter of Chris and Margaret (Bolt) Larson. She graduated from Nodaway High School in 1945 and started her working career as a Nurses Aid. Mary was united in marriage to Robert Rosch on December 8, 1948 in Corning, Iowa. One son was born to this union: Jimmy Lee. Mary worked at a café as a dishwasher and at the State School as an attendant before starting a 37 year career with Union Carbide Company in Red Oak. She retired in 1987. Mary enjoyed woodworking, fishing, doing crossword and jumble puzzles, and reading.

Preceding Mary in death were her brothers: Jim, Harold, and Lloyd; and her son: Jimmy Lee Rosch in 2009. Survivors include her grandchildren: Kim Gezel of Des Moines, IA; Christian Wirth and husband Seann of Springfield, NE; and Brian Lee Rosch of Creston, IA; great grandchildren: Kristi Kifer and Mallory Gezel of Des Moines, IA; Elijah, Isaiah, and Caleb Wirth of Springfield, NE; and Dakota, Dalton, and Savanna Rosch of Creston, IA; great great grandchildren: Seth, Audrey, and Aaliyah Helm of Des Moines, IA; brothers: Kenneth Larson and wife Gerry of Akron, OH; Paul Larson of Casper, WY; and Loren Larson of Clarinda, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. JoAnn Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Villisca, Iowa Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church or Iowa Hospice.
